Russian bloggers expose Gravikol 21 pharmaceutical scam targeting pensioners

Over the past few weeks thousands of Russian bloggers have united to combat a pharmaceutical scam that tried to persuade Russian pensioners to spend around half of their annual pension on a course of Gravikol 21 - ‘anti-arthritis’ drugs that were actually little more than vitamin pills.

Microsoft powers Reliance IPTV service in India

It is being considered as a breakthrough step by Reliance Communication. The company along with software giant Microsoft is launching IPTV or Internet Protocol TV in India. Reliance Communication will invest $500 million in this venture. The technology will be first launched in Mumbai and then Delhi in 2008. IPTV is a technology that makes TV interactive and enabled the user to connect their Internet to TV.

Spammers Hit YouTube's E-Mail Servers

Spammers are using YouTube's servers to send massive quantities of unsolicited email, according to security firm Marshal. The company has warned email users to be wary of messages carrying YouTube invites which appear to derive from the video-sharing site's 'Invite Your Friends' feature, claiming the compromised servers are sending out spam messages from the service@youtube.com address.
